Michael Mena is a business litigator and trial lawyer with more than 20 years of experience handling complex commercial litigation, arbitration, and high-stakes business disputes. His practice has focused on representing clients in sophisticated matters involving contract disputes, business torts, partnership and shareholder disputes, real estate litigation, fraud-related claims, defamation, and other significant civil matters in federal and state courts.

For 18 consecutive years, Michael has been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers as an outstanding lawyer who has attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. He has also been recognized among Florida Trend's Legal Elite, and by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's 40 Under 40 Outstanding Lawyers in South Florida.

Prior to joining Brito PLLC, Michael was a partner at other law firms, including an Am Law 100 national firm, where he combined an active litigation practice with firm leadership and strategic oversight of complex disputes across multiple jurisdictions. In those roles, he advised companies and senior executives on litigation exposure, dispute resolution strategy, regulatory considerations, and business-sensitive legal issues, while leading teams through all phases of high-stakes matters — including trial, appeal, and settlement.

Beyond his legal practice, Michael is active in the South Florida community as a member of the Orange Bowl Committee. He was previously inducted into the University of Miami's Iron Arrow Honor Society — the University's highest honor, recognizing leadership, character, humility, scholarship, and service. Michael also previously served as Vice Mayor and Commissioner for the City of Coral Gables, Florida.
