Jalaine Garcia is a commercial litigator and appellate advocate who handles complex, high-stakes disputes for businesses and individuals. Ms. Garcia focuses her practice on complex commercial disputes, appellate matters, and defamation, representing clients in state and federal courts and before arbitration tribunals. Her experience spans business torts, contract disputes, defamation, securities fraud, professional malpractice (accounting and law firms), class actions, director and officer liability, and antitrust cases.
Ms. Garcia enjoys immersing herself in the complexities of each case, delving into the details and analyzing the facts and the law to devise result-oriented strategies for her clients.
Prior to joining Brito PLLC, Ms. Garcia was counsel at Kenny Nachwalter, P.A. (n/k/a Sperling Kenny Nachwalter), a leading antitrust and complex business litigation firm, where she handled sophisticated commercial and antitrust matters. She also served as in-house counsel at the University of Miami, advising the institution on a range of legal and business-sensitive issues.
Ms. Garcia earned her J.D. from the University of Miami, where she served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Psychology, Public Policy and Law. She earned her B.S., cum laude, from the University of Florida. She is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
